Nick Rupard Artistic
Director, Scenic Designer
is originally from Mishawaka, Indiana. He recently completed his
Master of Fine Arts in Scenic Design at Wayne State University in
Detroit, Michigan. Nick received a Bachelor’s of Science in 2000 from
Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana. While at Indiana
State, he designed the sets for The Taming of the Shrew and
Alice in Wonderland, as well as costumes for Flyin’ West.
Nick also directed and created a new version of Cinderella,
performed by the Armageddon Pirates. Nick has designed the sets
for the Hilberry Theatre productions of A Street Car Named Desire
and A Dolls House and for the Bonstelle Theatre production
of The Adding Machine, both located in Detroit, MI.
Professionally, Nick spent two summers on the Showboat Becky Thatcher,
where he set designed The
Fantasticks and Barry Manilow’s The Drunkard. Nick also
completed his second year at The Forestburgh Playhouse in Forestburgh,
New York, where he designed sets for Ragtime, Chicago, Damn Yankees,
My Fair Lady, Driving Miss Daisy and
Witness for the Prosecution. |
